San Diego – Today, the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) announced it will be operating on a Sunday service schedule on Christmas and will ramp up post-game Trolley service to support large crowds expected for the Holiday Bowl on Friday, Dec. 27.
Christmas Day, Dec. 25:
MTS will also have its Friends Ride Free holiday promotion in effect on Christmas Day. Every fare-paying adult passenger can bring one guest on board for free. Passengers can find detailed holiday service information by visiting sdmts.com/getting-around/service-changes.
Holiday Bowl, Dec. 27:
Thousands of football fans will descend on Snapdragon Stadium on Friday, Dec. 27, for the DirectTV Holiday Bowl as the Washington State Cougars face the Syracuse Orange. After the game, the KGB Sky Show will light up the San Diego sky over Snapdragon Stadium with its spectacular fireworks display.
To accommodate the large crowds, MTS will increase Green Line and Copper Line Trolley service after the game.
