We're is continuing its efforts to make riding transit more tech-friendly and will soon introduce a new mobile ticketing app available for every-day use. Slated to launch in late Summer 2016, the new mobile application will offer riders more flexibility in fare purchasing options.
“Our mTicket pilot program had proven to be a huge success since its launch in 2013,” said Rob Schupp, MTS Director of Marketing & Communications. “We heard rider demands for an everyday use app, and MTS conducted a thorough search of mobile ticketing providers to find the best solution for both our system and our riders.” MTS came to agreement, approved by the MTS Board in April 2016, with moovel North America for up to six years of mobile app service.
