The Bus Operations Training team has selected bus operators to assist with behind-the-wheel training for new students.
The new field trainers will have an opportunity to be the next generation of instructors, learn the ins-and-outs of the training program and also boost instruction staffing levels when class sizes are large.
“Since early April, the bus operators have been shadowing our instructors and learning how we teach students to drive the bus,” said Mike Adams, MTS Bus manager of training. “The new field trainers give the agency a lot of flexibility we didn’t have before.”
