42nd Annual Kwanzaa Celebration

WorldBeat Cultural Center will be celebrating its 42nd Annual Celebration with 4 of the 7 days of Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa is an African American Holiday celebrated from the 26th of December to the 1st of January. Kwanzaa was created by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966 to celebrate and reaffirm family, community, and culture. Chula Vista Starlight Nights

Celebrate the holidays in Chula Vista with Starlight Nights on Sunday, Dec. 4. This free family-friendly event will kick off the holiday season in Chula Vista. Starlight Nights will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a tree lighting ceremony at 5:45 p.m. on the plaza at the northwest corner of Memorial Park. La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival

This traditional holiday Parade will feature bands, floats, equestrians, vintage vehicles, dog units, and Marshals representing community leaders, schools, and community service organizations. The parade starts at 1:00 p.m. There is also a Holiday Festival called Santa's Village which starts at 11:30 a.m. It features Santa visits for children, arts and crafts, games, music, and face painting. The Fleet Week Boat Parade will feature boats of all sizes decorated to salute and honor Veterans and Members of the U.S. Military.
