December Nights in Balboa Park

The countdown has begun for the City of San Diego's 42nd annual free holiday festival. December Nights will kick off the holiday season this Dec. 6 and 7, 2019, and feature light displays; inspirational choirs, bands and dancers; amazing food and fun-filled attractions.

Held the first Friday and Saturday each December, the event was originally founded when ten Balboa Park cultural organizations hosted the first celebration. That year, 3,000 San Diegans gathered to be a part of the occasion, and it has been a treasured event ever since.
