Opera on Track

Enjoy free, abbreviated performances of La Cenerentola (Cinderella) at or near MTS Orange, Green and UC San Diego Blue Line Trolley Stations over eight weekend performances. 

Opera on Track moves this centuries old art form out of the theatre and into unusual public accessible venues. The goal is to introduce the ease of taking transit to opera lovers and the enjoyment of live opera to MTS Riders.  All Opera on Track performances are free and open to the public. Families with children are especially invited to attend as Rossini’s music is tuneful, upbeat, charming and funny, as the traditional tale of Cinderella unfolds through the kind of storytelling that only opera can provide.
