Be on the "Otherside" of Traffic- Trolley to the Red Hot Chili Peppers Show this Friday

Attendees are encouraged to take transit to venue to avoid traffic hassles

San Diego – Legendary rock and roll group the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be bringing their 2023 world tour to Snapdragon Stadium on Friday, May 12. A capacity crowd is expected, and MTS is ramping up Trolley service to accommodate concertgoers. 

Getting to Snapdragon (show begins at 6:30 p.m.)  

Pre-Event:

All Trolley lines will run 15-minute service pre-event.

Post-Event: 

• Green Line: MTS will run standard 30-minute service in both directions after the concert, with extra 15-minute service as needed until crowds diminish.
  
  • Last trips leaving Stadium Station after concert:
    
    • To Santee (and other stations east of SDSU): 11:37 p.m. (or 45 minutes after concert ends; whichever is later)
    • To SDSU: 12:07 a.m. 
    • To 12th & Imperial (downtown SD): 12:37 a.m.  
• UC San Diego Blue Line (north): One additional trip on the UC San Diego Blue Line from Old Town to UTC will depart after midnight. Fans traveling from north of Old Town should depart the Stadium Station by 11:30 p.m. to connect to the final Blue Line train north. 

Park & Ride Lots:

Fans are able to park for free at dozens of MTS transit centers, and ride the Trolley directly to Snapdragon Stadium.

Buy Your Transit Fare with PRONTO: 

• For the fastest service: Use your phone as your Trolley pass with the PRONTO app
• Concertgoers can also load money to a PRONTO Card in advance online at RidePRONTO.com, or at any Trolley ticket machine. MTS does not recommend fans buy one-way paper tickets, due to post game crowding at ticket machines for return-trips. Whenever possible, load $5 to a PRONTO Card, which covers a round-trip. PRONTO cards are available at all ticket machines (one-time $2 fee).
• Riders must tap or scan PRONTO on a station validator before they board the Trolley.
