Construction Update on the East County Bus Operations and Maintenance Facility

MTS celebrated the grand opening of the bus facility back in October 2016 when the main bus maintenance and administration building construction was completed. Now construction workers are hard at work building the fuel and bus wash buildings as part of Phase 2.

Some of the work includes:

• Utilities – continuing work on under-slab utilities (electrical/communication) at fuel and bus wash buildings
• Dirt Export – currently hauling off excess soil from site
• Trillium CNG Underground – Trillium is installing underground conduits and gas piping for CNG dispensers at the fuel building
• Removing AC (Phase 3: Street Improvements on Vernon Way) – ISC contractor started removing AC from Vernon Way
• Base for Curb & Gutter (Phase 3: Street Improvements on Vernon Way) – Placing base for the curb/gutter/sidewalk along Vernon Way
