Fun Fact About MTS Passengers

It's raining umbrellas at MTS! We all know it doesn't rain often in San Diego. When it does, passengers have one more item to forget on the bus and Trolley - umbrellas. The MTS Transit Store's Lost & Found collected 230 umbrellas in 2016!

"The reovery rate over the last four years has been about 25% for all lost items," said MTS Transit Store manager Adrian Paniagua. "When possible. MTS makes efforts to find and inform the owners that MTS is in possession of their lost property and the turnaround time for claims is about 24 hours."

For low-value items, like umbrellas, MTS will either donate or discard after 14 days depending on the condition.
