Passengers encouraged to use Compass Cloud ticketing app to avoid ticket lines
San Diego – The Metropolitan Transit System is increasing Trolley service to accommodate two large-scale events in downtown San Diego on Saturday. Both the 2018 San Diego Women’s March and the annual Monster Jam at Petco Park are expected to draw more than 50,000 people to downtown San Diego.
2018 San Diego Women’s March (10 a.m., County Waterfront Park):
The following Trolley schedule will apply for the San Diego Women’s March:
Riders on the UC San Diego and Orange Trolley lines are encouraged to transfer to the Sycuan Green Line at 12th & Imperial, then exit at County Center/Little Italy station.
Monster Jam: (2:30 p.m. Pit Party; 7 p.m. show time):
Trains on all three lines will depart all stations every 15 minutes before and after the event.
The final trains departing downtown from the 12th & Imperial Transit Center are:
Passengers taking the Sycuan Green Line to the Pit Party should exit at the 12th & Imperial Transit Center. Passengers going directly to the event can exit at the Gaslamp Quarter Station. Passengers taking the Orange or UC San Diego Blue Line should exit at 12th & Imperial Transit Center for the Pit Party and the ballpark.
Recommended locations to park and ride the Trolley to both events are:
