MTS Rail Hosted National Working Group for Operations Best Practices

In early May, MTS Rail hosted the APTA Rail Standards Operating Practice Working Group. The working group is charged with affirming and modifying the best practices for all rail operations. The Federal Transit Administration uses the working group’s recommendations as a guideline for federal standards. At the May session, leaders in rail operations discussed existing standards for accident investigations, safe yard operations, Operations Control Center and more.
