Monday Commuters: MTS will run modified service Monday, December 26
San Diego- An exciting holiday week is coming to San Diego with the first-ever Holiday Bowl Game hosted at Petco Park, followed by the Sky Show fireworks display. More than 35,000 people are expected to attend the game between University of Oregon and the University of North Carolina on Wednesday, December 28. In addition to the game, there will also be the annual Holiday Bowl Parade that morning, a 5K and more. The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is encouraging attendees to avoid traffic jams and street closures by taking the Trolley to the festivities. Dozens of free Park & Ride locations along the system make it easy and hassle-free to get to the events. MTS is will also have some service changes over the Christmas holiday weekend.
Holiday Bowl Parade, Wednesday, December 28 at 10 a.m.
The parade route is on Harbor Drive, between the San Diego Waterfront Park and Seaport Village. All Trolley lines lead to stops near the parade. Fans are encouraged to travel early to get a prime viewing spot.
Holiday Bowl Game at Petco, December 28, kick-off at 5 p.m.
All three Trolley lines serve Petco Park.
Post-Game: Service will run every 15 minutes on all lines for approximately 45 minutes post-game. Additional service will be added as needed.

Monday, December 26, Observed Christmas Holiday Service:
Normal service will run for Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24. On Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25, MTS bus routes will operate a normal Sunday schedule, all three Trolley lines will run every 30-minutes, all day.
Modified service is planned for Monday, December 26 as an observed holiday:
Holiday Promotion: Friends ride free! Every fare paying adult can bring one guest on board with them at no cost on Christmas Day (Sunday, Dec. 25). Youth 18 and under ride free with a Youth Opportunity Pass every day.
