Rail Central Control Upgrades Begin

Rail Central Control will be upgraded for the first time since 2005

Exciting times for MTS Rail Operations Control Center staff with the first remodel since opening the office in 2005. The remodel started, Monday, May 21, 2018 and is anticipated to be complete in late June 2018. The room configuration will primarily remain the same, but much of the technology is being upgraded to accommodate the Mid-Coast extension when it begins operating in 2021. There will be a new video display wall, new ergonomically sound consoles for controllers, new carpet, and the room will be upgraded from six to seven consoles.
