San Diego – The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) announced an immediate service disruption along the Blue and Orange Lines in downtown San Diego due to a city water
mainbreak near the Trolley tracks at Fourth Avenue and C Street.
The City of San Diego will be conducting repairs and requires the westbound Trolley track closed through the remainder of the service day (past 1 a.m.). Riders should expect 15-20-minute delays for trips going to or through downtown San Diego on the Blue and Orange Lines. Regular service is anticipated to resume for tomorrow morning’s commute.
Currently MTS has a shuttle train operating between American Plaza and Civic Center.
Trolley service impacts to downtown San Diego are as follows:
- Orange Line: Will terminate at the Civic Center Station
- Blue Line: Will terminate at the Fifth Avenue Station
- Special Shuttle: Will operate between America Plaza and Civic Center Station
Riders transferring to or from the Green Line can do so at the 12th & Imperial Transit Center.
