Trolley Operator Safety Awards

MTS Rail honored 118 train operators for safe operating at the annual Trolley Operator Safety Awards ceremony on September 22.  To qualify, train operators must be free from preventable LRV/Auto accidents and LRV/Pedestrian accidents in consecutive years. Afer the initial award, successive awards are given for each additional one-year period. When a train operator is accident-free for 2-4 years, they get a commemorative pin. Once five years of accident-free service is reached, the recipients receives another commorative pin, plus an extra paid day off. 

Of the 118 train operators celebrated, 78 had more than 5 years accident-free, and 40 had 2-4 years accident free.
