Updating Asphalt

MTS’ main bus division, IAD, received 35,000 square feet of new asphalt in April to repave a large portion of the bus lot. The work was necessary as multiple areas on the lot were in disrepair from constant bus traffic and the age of the asphalt. Various areas had more than 1” deep pits and grooves, creating tripping hazards and unnatural wear on the bus tires. Total cost for repaving was $176,000.
