East Village Opening Weekend Block Party

Join the fun and help celebrate the return of the Padres in East Village at the neighborhood's 11th Annual Opening Weekend Block Party on Saturday, April 1st from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.! The Block Party will be on J St from 7th to 10th Avenues in front of Petco Park. It will include all things East Village including local small businesses, live music and entertainment, tasty bites, beer and cocktails, local retail vendors, photo opportunities, a variety of family-friendly activities, and a celebration of East Village’s very own San Diego Padres. ​

Open to all ages, this free celebration is the perfect way to celebrate the community. Local San Diego vendors in attendance include CAKED, Sovereign Modern Thai, Ashland Hard Seltzer, Parks and Normal, and West Coast Kimono. Vendors will be among the offerings at the event amidst the live music and entertainment-packed streets. Grab your friends and family for a fun-filled day you will never forget!

MTS Pop-Up at the Block Party

Want to ride transit in style? Claim your Padres Pronto card during opening weekend by stopping by the MTS booth at the East Village Block Party on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Cards will be mailed out mid-April once claimed.

Can’t make it to opening weekend? Padres PRONTO cards will be available for purchase at the MTS Transit Store, via the PRONTO Support Center or at select ticket machines on a future Padres homestand. Follow along on social media for more details.
