San Diego – With sold-out crowds expected all weekend long as the Padres take on Southern California rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) encourages fans to dodge busy traffic and high parking costs by taking transit to Petco Park.
To accommodate the large crowds, MTS will be increasing Trolley service before and after games. All three Trolley lines – UC San Diego Blue, Orange and Green – provide direct service to Petco Park, dropping fans off in the heart of the action.
FRIDAY, 6:40 p.m., & SATURDAY, 5:40 p.m.
Pre-Game Service
All Three Trolley Lines: Regular service to Petco Park prior to the game, with Trolleys picking up fans at all stations every 15 minutes or better and dropping fans off steps away from the action.
Post-Game Service
UC San Diego Blue Line: Trolleys will depart every 15 minutes to San Ysidro and UTC until 45 minutes after the game ends.
Green Line: Trolleys will depart every 15 minutes until 45 minutes after the game ends or until crowds diminish, with extra trips as needed.
Orange Line: Trolleys will depart every 15 minutes until 30 minutes after the game ends, with extra trips as needed.

UC San Diego Blue Line: Trolleys will depart every 15 minutes to UTC and every 7.5 minutes to San Ysidro after the game ends.
Green Line and Orange Line: Trolleys will depart every 15 minutes after the game ends.
Free Park & Ride Lots

To help expedite the boarding process, fans should download the PRONTO app in advance. Load at least $5 on your virtual card, which covers a round-trip fare for adult riders. Each passenger with a valid fare must tap or scan on the station validators prior to boarding. Every passenger needs their own PRONTO app or card, you cannot buy fares for multiple people on the same device. If you have a PRONTO card, you can load your card in advance online at ridepronto.com.
Kids ride free! Families going to the games can save big by taking MTS. On weekends, two children 12 and under ride for free, no pass required, with every paying adult. Youth ages 18 and under with a registered Youth PRONTO card or app account can ride free with the Youth Opportunity Pass.
