Summer Service Changes

The annual summer shakeup goes into effect Sunday, June 12. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve on-time performance, schedule changes will be made to Routes 13, 848 and 955. Other changes include:

• Free (and increased) service on Route 904! Courtesy of the City of Coronado, Route 904 will operate every 15 minutes, seven days a week throughout the summer. Riders can take any Trolley line or Rapid to Santa Fe Depot and catch the Ferry to Coronado. Once on Coronado, service on Route 904 is free!
• Holiday Service Schedule: We will operate a holiday service schedule on Monday, July 4, in honor of Independence Day. Please see the Take One or visit sdmts.com for full holiday service adjustments.

Go Multimodal

Looking to explore America’s Finest City with friends and family this summer? Do you think outside the bus when it comes to your transportation options? Multimodal commutes are increasing in popularity for the flexibility they provide passengers when planning a trip. We have partnered with local bike-sharing company, DecoBike, to help our passengers and visitors explore San Diego in new ways. DecoBike has 700 bikes around the City of San Diego for public use. Passengers can ride the bus or Trolley and pick-up a DecoBike in Barrio Logan or South Park, Golden Hill, Mission Bay and in-between at one of 92 stations. Put on your sunscreen and get ready to play tourist in your hometown!

There’s no shortage of activity in San Diego throughout the summer months.

Food Truck Fridays on the Prado in Balboa Park 

Happening every Friday from July 1 through September 2, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Ride Route 7 or Rapid 215 for direct service to the Park. Learn more at balboapark.org/FoodTruckFriday. 

SD Symphony Bayside Summer Nights Pops Concerts 

Bayside Summer Nights offers a variety of performances in a one-of-a-kind, outdoor concert setting like no other. Enjoy one of 25 concerts from July 1 through September 4. Hop on the Green Line Trolley to Gaslamp Quarter Station and pick up the shuttle in front of the Hilton.  For information, visit sandiegosymphony.org/bayside2016.
