Transit Driver Appreciation Day

Have you thanked your transit operator recently? Well, now's your chance! National Transit Driver Appreciation Day is being celebrated on Friday, March 17.

It's no easy feat to safely move thousands of people daily, keep a schedule, check fares, offer trip assistance and maneuver a large vehicle around tight corners, through traffic and more. On Transit Driver Appreciation Day, MTS wants to recognize the men and women who help keep our system moving. Does your train operator or bus driver consistently welcome riders with a cheerful greeting? Did you witness an exceptional act of kindness? Do you always make your transfers in time? Let us know, then follow MTS on Instagram (@sdmts) as we travel around the system to thank outstanding operators & give them a special thank you gift.
