Get an Early Win: Take the Trolley to the Near-Sellout Notre Dame-Navy Game

San Diego – Fans attending the Oct. 27 Notre Dame – Navy football game set for 5 p.m. at SDCCU Stadium are strongly encouraged to take the Trolley to avoid gridlocked roads and a full parking lot. The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is substantially increasing Trolley service, providing the Compass Cloud mobile ticketing app for quick and easy boarding, and offering plenty of free parking at Trolley stations to make the travel experience seamless.

MTS services to the stadium - The Trolley’s Sycuan Green Line drops off fans at the doorstep to the stadium. Here’s what you need to know:

• Trains will depart stations on all Trolley lines every 15 minutes throughout the day
• Service will double to every 7.5 minutes on the Sycuan Green Line at 12:35 p.m. between downtown San Diego and SDCCU Stadium
• Trains will depart the stadium at a high frequency once crowds begin to leave the game; as often as every 5 minutes  

Skip the Crowd with the Cloud! – MTS is allowing attendees who use the Compass Cloud mobile ticketing app to bypass the Trolley line after the game. There’s a Compass Cloud express lane on the west side of the SDCCU Stadium Station ramp. Multiple Compass Cloud mobile tickets can be purchased on one smartphone too, making it easy for families traveling to the game together. For more information, visit the Compass Cloud webpage.

Finding the best place to park and ride the Trolley is also important! Prime park and ride locations for the game are:

• Hazard Center: 1,500 free parking spots (Lower Level only, after 3:30 p.m. only; 6 minutes to stadium)
• Old Town Transit Center: 412 free parking spots (15 minutes to stadium)
• Grantville Trolley Station: 404 free parking spots (4 minutes to stadium)
• El Cajon Transit Center: 469 free parking spots (23 minutes to stadium)
