Planning Department Goals

1. Implement / schedule airport service to / from Old Town by January 1, 2020 (if SDCRAA approves).

2. Redesign and reschedule the Super Loop routes (201,202,204) in anticipation of the Voigt Bridge closure. Develop new route if needed to cover Scripps Hospital. To be completed by April 30, 2020.

3. Currently, 10 of 94 routes are performing in the 70th percentile. Re-schedule the following routes to perform in the 80th percentile using existing resources if possible (Routes: 60, 150, 201, 874, 909, 928, 929, 933, 934, 946). To be completed by June 30, 2020.

4. Finalize the Program of Projects (POP) for a potential sales tax measure by December 31, 2019.

5. Complete an RFP solicitation and submittal process for the 12th & Imperial Transit Center and adjacent development by December 31, 2019.

6. Complete the design work for the Kettner Blvd. pedestrian improvements (TIRCP project) by June 2020.

7. Complete the operating plan for the Otay Mesa - Imperial Beach Rapid (TIRCP project) by December 31, 2019.

8. Complete the Mid-Coast Feeder Bus Plan by December 31, 2019.

9. Finalize design and plans for early-implementation exclusive bus priority measures with City of San Diego by December 31, 2019.

10. Submit a fiscal year 2021 Capital Improvement Program project for the improvement of at least 20 bus stops to accessibility standards. Project to be completed by November 1, 2019.
